“ARTIS No.29”

“ARTIS” (Art in Latin) No.29, introducing the collection of our gallery in various perspectives and receiving favorable reviews from the readers, will be published on Jun.01. This time, we will approach the relationship between the universe and art under the title of “Galactic Journey (Ginga no Tabi).” We will contemplate what gravity is, what galaxies are in relation to art, and how they can be expressed in works of art in the interview to Shigyo Sosyu.

The painting of [Opening Page] features Koshino Junko’s “Existence of Luster and Shadow (Hikari to Kage no Sonzai).” In [Creators] corner Hagiwara Sakutaro is introduced. In [My eye] corner, where we publish contributions from visitors to our gallery, Mr. Ishiguro Hiroyuki has contributed a brilliant piece looking back on Shigyo Sosyu Collection “Zen y Arte -Gaze from Spain” Exhibition held at the Spanish Embassy in Japan last year. We hope to have you read the article.

Shigyo Sosyu Collection Display Floor / Memorial Gallery of Toshima Yasumasa is currently holding “Sand Time (Suna no Jikan)” Exhibition (~ Aug.31). Mr. Abe Hiraomi’s western paintings depicting the desert, Mr. Sato Chu’s near-future metal sculpture, Mr. Kitagawa Kenji’s object works, Mr. Tachihara Sei’s sand photos are also being displayed. We hope to have you visit the exhibition.

If you are interested, it is distributed free with free delivery, please contact Memorial Gallery of Toshima Yasumasa (Direct phone: 03-3511-8162).
