From today, distribution of series titled “Shigyo Mayumi Column,” which is voluminous than MEGAHEALTH News starts. Hereafter, I hope you will enjoy the double-feature of the News and the Column. In this first column, I would like to speak on the Thinking-way and the Living-way of MEGAHEALTH.
　Shigyo Sosyu, who created the word MEGAHEALTH, the founder of this enterprise, expressed this word to be “Active Health Method.” That is, in order to completely combust one’s life-energy by challenging and throwing own-self into one’s life, it is essential to actively sustain the body and spirit to accomplish it. You yourself are the one to sustain your own body and spirit, no one else could do it instead of yourself. All is self-responsibility. If you escape or avert your eyes from this fact, you, yourself, shall be abandoning the majority of the genuine delight of living as human.
Who do you think is the person living a splendid life? Who is vigorous? Person, who is throwing oneself into one’s own life with sparkling eyes, is the one not escaping from the given subject. The given subject could be – one’s work, raising children, something one could heartily devote oneself even if it is not comprehended by others – and persons, who are throwing oneself into it with all one’s might, are emitting wondrous magnetism.
Here, what is the source of energy the person emits when we sense “this person is full of vitality?” Shigyo Sosyu considered it to be the “Life-energy.” Life-energy is originally, “A kind of Cosmic-energy correspondingly working for all matters,” and “The power to make all matters as the respective matter should be” ([Identity of Life I], p.21) and it dwells not only in humans but in all living things・matters.
If I may say in the great master of Greek philosophy Plato style, it may be similar to “Possession in part of Idea.” This year is the year of Inoshishi (the Boar), and I am born in the year of the Boar, and in the New Year days, having to do with the Oriental zodiac, I had many chances of seeing the images of Boars and Uribo (wild boar piglet) in New Year’s greeting card, on TV and others. Though each of them was individual living creature, they all looked as the perfect “Boar.” The reason why all boars look as boar, is that prior to the individuality of boar “Boar itself = Idea of Boar” exists, individual bore is being distributed from “Idea of Boar” the essence of the boar, so when we look at any individual boar, it looks boar itself.
However, there are various kinds in the degree of being a boar. This bore may appear to be a fine bore, yet the next boar may have an impression of domesticated pig. In other words, there is an individual with high-Boar-energy and low-Boar-energy.
Doesn’t this also apply to humans? We naturally accept the way of expression such as “That person is warmhearted,” or “That is inhumane thing to do.” There also is the expression of someone having high or low “Humane-ability.” There is “Humanness itself” after all, and we are on the assumption that the level of the possessing human-energy of the person varies according to the individual.
Then, what would it be if we consider as “Life” inclusive of boar and human? To invigorate all living things, especially for human whose distinctive character is in its spiritual activity, there must be an energy to sustain the life including the spirit – this is the foundation of MEGAHEALTH Philosophy.
And this Life-energy is first of all taken from foodstuffs. That is, by ingesting the lives of other living things and substances, we are obtaining our energy. In other words, the meal is to take and eat the energy, which is the source of life. Since receiving the lives of other living things and substances, it is the obligation of humans to utilize the life-energy to the maximum. And it shall be the manifestation of gratitude and reverence to the Life itself and the Cosmos that nurtured Life.
Based on MEGAHEALTH Philosophy, enhancing one’s own life-energy both in physical and spiritual aspects, it is my wish to have even just one person increases who will accomplish the respective mission encountering in this world until the last day of one’s own life. All of BIOTEC enterprise exists for the sake of combusting the life of human as human should be, and die as human. Although our products are health foods, we do not merely aim for longevity. John Stuart Mill, a British philosopher and political economist, has left the words that “It is better to be a human being dissatisfied than a pig satisfied; better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied.” Human could become a pig-like or human-like just by the living-way and the way one uses the life-energy. If so, I wish to meet the unknown day of my death as the human・Shigyo Mayumi. The enterprise of BIOTEC exists to be “The Head Stone of the Corner (refer to ※)” for those who think the same could practice building-up the body and spirit – namely MEGAHEALTH – to accomplish the given mission of destiny.
