“ARTIS” (ART in Latin) No.19, introducing the collection of our gallery in various perspective and receiving favorable responses from the readers, will be issued on Oct.01. In this booklet, in the interview to Shigyo Sosyu “The Art Talk,” under the theme of “Aesthetic of Fluid,” he contemplates how the existence of the Dark Fluid, which creates dark matter, the negative energy of the universe, is expressed in art.
On the Cover and in [Opening Page] Pursue an Artwork, “Mudai (No title)” painted by Koshino Junko is featured. In [Column] Creators, Mr. Arakida, Shinto priest of the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine, is introduced. And in this [Contribution] My Eyes, an article Mr. Takemoto Tadao contributes for [Jinmu-Tenno Himuka Goshinpatsu (The Emperor Jinmu Starts from Himuka, Kyushu)] (painted by Yasuda Yukihiko), which presages a new departure is introduced.
The current exhibition “Sur life – Image of Life” was originally scheduled to be held until Sep.24 (Sat.), but due to its popularity, it has been extended for a week until Oct.01(Sat.).
Subsequently, gallery will be closed for display change from Oct.02 (Sun.) to Oct.10 (Mon.). From Oct.11 (Tus.) the main theme of ARTIS No.19 “Aesthetic of Fluid” Exhibition (Oct.11, 2022 – Jan.28, 2023) will be held. In addition to Ms. Koshino Junko’s newly acquired works and calligraphies of Mr. Arakida, Shinto priest of the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine, which have not yet been shown to the public, and also the displays which enable to sense the Dark Fluid, we await for your visit to the exhibition. We will inform you about the contents of the exhibition later on the website, exhibition guide postcard, etc.
