2020/12/28Vol.36 My son one year old, mother one year old

My son’s one year old birthday celebration.

The other day, my son became one year old. I am thankful that my son could steadily walk by himself with his baby-walk and even trips about, climbs up and down on the sofa and bow window. He is a little rascal and his daily routine is pushing down a dining chair. This past one year seemed to be long yet short…… I became one year old as a mother on this day, and though I am yet a toddler as a mother I would try my best in the coming days.

On the day of my son’s birthday, my family with my father enjoyed celebration meal. Though it was under COVID-19 calamity, I held it wishing to be a humble yet memorable celebration once in his lifetime. On this day, we have fully enjoyed his one year celebration by having my son carry on his back Issyo-mochi (Rice-cake of 1.8kg, wishing healthy growth and sufficient in food for lifetime) and doing Erabitori (Choosing fortune-telling card). At the time when taking photo with his grandfather, he willingly put up his index finger and posed “One year old!” I never taught him that at all! We were astonished by his progress of learning new things every day.

I would like to gradually mention the episodes related to one year old in the coming year’s Megahealth News. This year I have renewed Megahealth News mainly focusing on my struggling record of child raising, and in the coming year, I also would like to write variety of columns fully including child raising. I hope to have you join me in the coming year as well.

I wish you all a Happy New Year.

One year old! Both of them posing and smiling.
