“ARTIS” No.16

　“ARTIS” (Art in Latin) No.16, introducing the collection of our gallery in various perspectives and receiving favorable responses from the readers, will be issued on Apr.01. In this booklet, in the interview to Shigyo Sosyu “The Art Talk,” on the theme of “Haru no Yume – kage (The Dream Shadow of Spring),” he contemplates Art as the vestige of the life. And approaches “Mono-no-aware (Pathos of Nature)” a unique Japanese sense of grasping beauty, which observes ”Dream” and “Shadow” in the season of spring.

　On the cover and in [Opening Page] Pursue an Artwork, [Chou （Butterfly] by Hirano Ryo will be featured. And in [Column] Creators, Waka poet Sasaki Nobutsuna will be introduced.

　 In the new exhibition “Haru no Yumekage – Awarenaru mono (The Dream Shadow of Spring – Sorrowful thing)” (Apr.05, 2022 – Jun.11, 2022), starting from Yasuda Yukihiko and Nantenbo, numerous artworks expressing the Japanese sensibility of Beauty and Death will be displayed. We shall be happy to have you enjoy the exhibition along with this booklet.
