〈Face of the Sun〉(The Black Sun) 　Okamoto Taro

 
Today is the first day of “Inner Power” – Fire and Earth – Exhibition (Jun. 24 ~ Sep. 28). From the previous exhibition of Japanese pictorial arts and calligraphies, the atmosphere is totally changed to the western paintings. The leading works of Yamaguchi Takeo, Toshima Yasumasa and Hirano Ryo are exhibited all at once! We hope you will enjoy each of the three ways of their Cosmic-expressions. There are also some works exhibited for the first time. Furthermore, quite novel in Shigyo Sosyu Collection, Okamoto Taro’s mask “Face of the Sun” (The Black Sun), and also several block prints of Dali are decorated to express the motif of the Sky. In the previous exhibition, only few of the Toshima’s works were displayed, but this time, there are many of his works. After a while, many of his leading works depicted in his Spain period could be viewed, and we hope you will really enjoy their impressiveness.
