Mr. Sasaki Takashi, an eminent authority of Spanish philosophy・thought study, and known by the distinguished translation of Miguel de Unamuno, the leading philosopher of Spain, has returned to Heaven on December 20, 2018 (Age at death: 79). The year 2018 was the celebration year of the 150th Anniversary of the Establishment of Japan-Spain Diplomatic Relations and the 800th Anniversary of Foundation of Salamanca University. And we have received a great cooperation from Mr. Sasaki Takashi including the publication of [Philosophy of Passion—Unamuno and the Battle of “Life”—] (Written by Sasaki Takashi, supervised by Shigyo Sosyu, published by Hosei University Press), and the endeavor to freshly inquire on the philosophical thought・literature of Unamuno in our art・publishing activities. Once again, we would sincerely like to pray for his peaceful rest.
