Critic of art and literature in both Japanese and French. Professor emeritus at the University of Tsukuba, and former invited professor at the Collège de France. Internationally renowned as a close associate and researcher of André Malraux. He has consistently engaged in deep introduction of Japan and high-level dialogue between East and West, especially from the viewpoint of how humanity should recover from the historical error of rationalism, advocating the Renaissance of Spirituality Civilization, and published [Michi yori no Bara (Rose from the Unknown)] in eight volumes at the age of 89, a compilation of his life story as a Visionary. Two years later, in the fall of 2023, he will publish [The Gaze of Shigyo Sosyu－Whither is Beautiful Star?] In addition to his main publications, [Dialogue with Marlowe], [The Secret Nostradamus Code], and [The Empress Michiko Inori no Uta (Poetry of Prayers)], and he has written and translated many books, including translation of “Anti-memoirs” by André Marlowe.
