Shigyo Sosyu Collection
Shigyo Sosyu is a business person, author and poet as well. With profound affection for the sublime and pure spirit of the Japanese, penetrating through the long history of our ancestors, he cordially accumulates the artworks that sublimate this spirit into its art, and wishes to pass them down to posterity. And he believes that it shall be the true power to succeed the Japanese Soul. Shigyo Sosyu senses the prominent soul of the Japanese related to the history to be a Gust of Wind. The art, which this wind has given birth to, may well be expressed as “Kaze no Katami (Mementos of the Wind),” which the history of Japan has woven. This very “Mementos of the Wind” is exactly what [Shigyo Sosyu Collection] is. The main features are Yasuda Yukihiko, Hakuin, Togo Hehachiro, Nantenbo, Yamaguchi Takeo, Hirano Ryo and others, and they could be viewed at the permanent exhibition space in Nihon Seibutsu Kagaku Co., Ltd. in Kouji-machi, Chiyoda-ku.
