　The book “To the Combustion of the Soul” (Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha), compiling conversations between the late Shimizu Katsuyoshi, Shop Manager of Dokusyo no Susume, and Shigyo Sosyu will be published as an expanded definitive edition, including a dialogue between the two held in Shinozaki, Edogawa Ward in 2023. Originally published in 2015, the book had been out of print for a long time, with requests for its reprinting coming from various quarters. Furthermore, as 2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Dokusho no Susume’s founding, this expanded definitive edition will also serve as a commemorative publication.

　However, to our regret, Mr. Shimizu Katsuyoshi passed away just before publication (June 2025), making this his final work. We sincerely hope that this book, which embodies Mr. Shimizu’s way of life leading the useless reading, and the reading to live life to the fullest as his final message, will inspire you to pick it up and reflect on the act of reading itself.

　To commemorate this publication, Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha will host an event titled “Jinsei no Honshitsu o Tsukamu (Grasping the Essence of Life).” Shigyo will speak on how to connect daily reading to the core of life. The event features Mr. Oda Masayoshi, CEO of LIMIT-BREAKER Inc., who cultivates executives and leaders primarily through YouTube and seminars, proposing business models centered on the philosophy of “World Upgrade” (Evolving All Worlds). Through deep questions and responses, attendees will learn alongside Mr. Oda Masayoshi.
