“Miyabi and Aware” Exhibition (Oct.7 – Dec.7, 2019) receiving favorable responses, has past the mid-term and leaving less than one month of the exhibition period. This time, the works of Yasuda Yukihiko are much focused and from today, new works “Warawa-mai (Child-dance) and “Tsuru-uchi (Twang Bow-strings),” which are recently added to the collection, are displayed.
“Warawa-mai (Child-dance)” is a dance, which the child before coming-of-age of Imperial court nobles dances to congratulate the gratefulness to the Emperor. This work of beautiful child dancing in the presence of the nobles at the grand occasion is depicted by Yukihiko’s brilliant color brush with novel composition. “Tsuru-uchi (Twang Bow-strings)” is one of the significant works of Shigyo Sosyu Collection, and it is truly divine painting depicting the ceremony of Shinto Shrine named Meigen-shiki (Twang Bow-string Ceremony) to clear-away wicked spirit. In this period toward Shiwasu (December, the year-end), this work shall clear-away the doubts in our heart and make us feel crystal-clear.
